What is e-dermatolog.pl?
e-dermatolog.pl is a medical practice that provides online dermatological consultation services. The platform allows patients to consult with a specialist in dermatology and venereology from the comfort of their homes, eliminating the need for physical visits.
The mission of e-dermatolog.pl is to offer patients access to expert medical advice and support without leaving their homes, saving time, money, and ensuring their privacy.
Objectives of the Collaboration
The collaboration with the iMakeable team aimed to develop an online registration system with integrated payment capabilities. This system was designed to streamline the process of accessing the services provided by e-dermatolog.pl.
Prior to this project, registering for e-consultations was only possible via a contact form or through prior phone consultations. This made the registration process unnecessarily long and cumbersome for new patients.
The key functionality needed was the ability to pay for consultations online and fully automate the scheduling of teleconsultations.

Solution Design
We began by mapping out the processes and creating a prototype of the functionalities needed to improve the clinic's operations. This step provided a clear vision of the desired outcomes and ensured alignment with the clinic’s goals.
Application Development
The planned functionalities were developed in three biweekly iterations. Each iteration focused on delivering specific features, which were then systematically implemented on e-dermatolog.pl.
Implementation
After development, we trained the staff responsible for using the system. This allowed them to immediately redirect time previously spent on repetitive tasks to more productive activities, maximizing the efficiency of the clinic's operations.

Solution Design
Our work began with outlining the process that the registration system would follow. While mapping out the registration flow might seem like a straightforward task, it significantly streamlined our approach to subsequent stages of the project.
By carefully considering how the system should operate, we were able to seamlessly integrate it with the tools already in use by e-dermatolog.pl.
We designed a comprehensive system consisting of interfaces for:
- Patients, for registration and managing their consultations.
- Administrators, for overseeing and managing the platform.
- Doctors, for conducting online visits.
To ensure clarity and functionality, we created a prototype of the system using Figma, which served as a blueprint for development and helped visualize the final product.
Application Development
After designing the prototype, we moved on to implementing the functionalities. In addition to preparing the application for use, we introduced several key features, including:
- Automated Patient Registration System: Enables scheduling, rescheduling, and canceling appointments.
- Integration with Przelewy24 Payment Gateway: Ensures secure and seamless payment processing for consultations.
- Email and SMS Notification System: Sends reminders about scheduled appointments along with links to online meetings.
- Automatic Calendar Integration: Appointments are automatically added to the calendars of both patients and doctors.
- Flexible Visit Management: Allows for the creation, management, and configuration of consultation types, costs, availability, and vacation modes for doctors.
Implementation
We trained the e-dermatolog.pl team on how to optimally use the application. Thanks to the intuitive design and straightforward functionality, the system became user-friendly after just two training sessions, eliminating the need for ongoing active support.
Since 2021, we have maintained regular contact with the team to ensure the application operates smoothly, addressing any issues and updating integrations when necessary. This continued support ensures the system remains efficient and up-to-date.
Project Results
We developed an application that allows e-dermatolog.pl patients to book and pay for consultations autonomously. The entire process is nearly fully automated and requires minimal oversight from the clinic staff.
Online Payment Integration
Leveraging the Przelewy24 payment gateway, patients can conveniently complete payments prior to their appointments, ensuring a smooth and secure transaction process.
Automated Registration
Scheduling an appointment no longer requires staff involvement. Patients can book consultations independently, according to their preferences.
Appointment Management
The application supports creating and managing new types of consultations, with or without online payment. It also allows customization of required fields based on the type of visit.
Scalability
The system is designed to grow with the clinic, enabling the addition of new doctors, administrators, and service configurations as needed, supporting the clinic's expansion and evolving requirements.
